Love Your Skin & Body!
CBD stands for Cannabidiol, one of many phytocannabinoids found in cannabis. Unlike THC, CBD is not psychoactive. Additionally, independent research and consumer feedback demonstrate numerous benefits for human and pet health. In hemp, CBD Oil is found in a much higher concentration than any other cannabinoid.
CBD Oil works synergistically with your body’s Endocannabinoid System (ECS) to supplement the naturally occurring cannabinoids in your system.
When your body absorbs CBD Oil, it improves the endocannabinoid system’s ability to promote a balanced internal environment (Homeostasis).
Consuming CBD Oil products can help you maintain a regular level of CBD Oil in your system, promoting optimal wellness.
The short answer is no. You can make a case for anything applied to your skin as a topical, but that really isn’t the case. CBD Oil Topicals are primarily formulated to relieve sore, achy muscles and joints. As a side benefit, some CBD Oil Topicals are also formulated for skin rejuvenation and repair, and skin protection.
On the other hand, almost all CBD Infused Skin Care products are formulated specifically for skin care. That includes skin rejuvenation and repair, healing, and moisturizing. CBD Infused Skin Care products generally do not help with sore, achy muscles and joints.
CBD Infused Skin Care products are available in the following forms: Lotions, Creams, Balms, Salves, and Bath Bombs or Fizzies. They can be either Full-spectrum or THC-free.
Full-spectrum CBD Oil contains trace amounts of other phytocannabinoids, including THC (less than 0.3%), and various terpenes (depending on the strain). All these organic compounds work synergistically, providing a theoretically fuller therapeutic effect than Broad-spectrum CBD Oil (THC-Free) or CBD Isolate (also THC-Free).
If a label says Full-spectrum CBD Oil but you have doubts, read the Independent Lab Results. That should be available on the vendor’s website. The lab results will give you the percentages of phytocannabinoids present, or not present, in the formulation. For Delta 8 or Delta 9 THC, 0.3% or less should be the amount listed.
In Full-spectrum CBD (with THC), the Entourage Effect is a term used to describe how THC amplifies the therapeutic impact of a combination of a major cannabinoid (e.g., CBD or CBN), minor cannabinoids, Terpenes, and other organic compounds.
In THC-free CBD, the Entourage Effect is a term used to describe how a specific formulation amplifies the therapeutic impact of a combination of a major cannabinoid (e.g., CBD or CBN), minor cannabinoids, Terpenes, and other organic compounds.
THC-free CBD Oil means exactly what it says. It’s CBD Oil without any THC. There are two types of THC-free CBD Oil. Broad-spectrum CBD Oil contains trace amounts of other phytocannabinoids except THC.
The strict interpretation of CBD Isolate is CBD Oil without any other phytocannabinoids, including THC. It also has no terpenes or any other organic compounds that might be found in Industrial Hemp, Pharmaceutical, or Food Grade Hemp
If a label says CBD Isolate or Broad-spectrum CBD, but you have doubts, read the COA (Independent Lab Results). This document should be available on the vendor’s website.
The lab results will show the percentages of phytocannabinoids present (or not present) in the formulation. More specifically, Delta 8 or Delta 9 THC should be listed as “ND” (for none detected).
If you can’t find a COA for the product you’re looking at, consider another brand or vendor. groovyhempcompany.com has a COA for every CBD product we provide.
Broad-spectrum CBD Oil contains trace amounts of other phytocannabinoids except THC. It also includes various terpenes (depending on the strain). Just to be clear, Broad-spectrum CBD Oil contains zero % THC.
If a label says Broad-spectrum CBD Oil but you have doubts, read the COA (Independent Lab Results). This document should be available on the vendor’s website. For Delta 8 or Delta 9 THC, “ND” (for none detected) should be the amount listed.
If you can’t find a COA for the product you’re looking at, consider another brand or vendor. groovyhempcompany.com has a COA for every CBD product we provide.
The strict definition of CBD Isolate is its CBD without any other phytocannabinoids, including THC. It also has no terpenes or any of the other organic compounds that might be found in Industrial Hemp, Pharmaceutical, or Food Grade Hemp.
Some manufacturers consider CBD Isolate to be anything CBD and other phytocannabinoids except THC. Terpenes are not part of the formulation.
If a label says CBD Isolate but you have doubts, read the COA (Independent Lab Results). This document should be available on the vendor’s website.
For Delta 8 or Delta 9 THC, “ND” (for none detected) should be the amount listed. Again, the amount of phytocannabinoids besides THC may vary depending on how the manufacturer defines CBD Isolate.
If you can’t find a COA for the product you’re looking at, consider another brand or vendor. groovyhempcompany.com has a COA for every CBD product we provide.
Isolate Cannabidiol is another name for CBD Isolate. It is the same thing. Other terms include Isolate CBD Oil, Isolate CBD, or CBD Oil Isolate. Even though CBD Isolate is the most popular term, all four can be used interchangeably.
The Certificate of Analysis is abbreviated as COA (AKA Independent Lab Results). A COA can be conveniently found on the individual product page in the Independent Lab Results tab.
