- Marijuana has now attained varying forms of legality in different states and municipalities, but is still considered illegal by the Federal government and by many states. Legislation has been introduced in Congress, and many states are legalizing Marijuana.
- As of December, 2025, the president issued a directive for agencies to begin moving forward with the plan to transfer Marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule III of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA).

Unlike CBD, delta-8 THC, and delta-10 THC, this phytocannabinoid is very psychoactive and, in a large enough quantity, will get you high. Delta-8 and delta-9 have almost identical chemical structures. However, the minor difference in their chemical structure is enough to create a very real difference in the degree of psychoactive impact.

In 2024 and again in December 2025, Marijuana was supposed to be rescheduled by the DEA from Schedule 1 to Schedule 3. This would have had many positive implications for everyone involved in the Marijuana ecosystem. In August 2026, we are seeing legitimate movement by the DEA towards rescheduling Medical Marijuana. Stay tuned.

Intoxicating Hemp refers to products derived from hemp plants that produce psychoactive effects. They often contain semi-synthetic cannabinoids at concentrations that produce a “high” or altered state of consciousness.
Instead of delta-9 THC, Intoxicating Hemp’s psychoactive ingredients could include delta-8 THC, delta-10 THC, or possibly HHC.
BTW, HHC is now considered aSchedule 1 drug by the DEA. If you use delta-8, delta-10, or HHC, you will not pass a drug test if they are testing for THC.
- Full-spectrum is the only category of CBD Oil product that includes THC. If you have Drug Testing (AKA Drug Screening) at your place of employment, your best strategy is to use Broad-spectrum CBD and/or CBD Isolate. Both of them are THC-free.
- Delta-9 THC is the psychoactive ingredient in Marijuana that gets you high. Marijuana typically has 10% – 25% delta-9 THC.
- CBD Oil products, including CBD Wellness products, are made from Hemp Oil Extract and have no more than 0.3% naturally occurring THC. That is not even remotely enough to get you high.
- There are also Hemp-based products that have been chemically engineered to have higher percentages of delta-8 and delta-9 THC, among others. These products are classified as Intoxicating Hemp.

The DEA, AKA the Drug Enforcement Administration, is a federal government agency that is a branch of the Justice Department. The DEA’s job is to enforce the laws and regulations on controlled substances in the United States.
Part of the DEA’s job is to classify various controlled substances in various Schedules. There are 5 Schedules. The controlled substances with a higher probability of abuse (among other factors) are classified as Schedule 1. The rest of the controlled substance hierarchy is defined by a succeeding reduced level of probability of abuse, etc.
E.G., Heroin is a Schedule 1 drug. Cocaine and Opioids are Schedule 2 drugs. Currently, Marijuana is inexplicably still classified as a Schedule 1 drug.
The Biden administration recommended that the DEA reschedule Marijuana from Schedule 1 to Schedule 3 in May 2024. As of December 2025, President Trump issued an Executive Order ReClassifying Medical Marijuana from Schedule 1 to Schedule 3. As you can imagine, this has made a substantial number of people happy.
- As you can imagine, the term Edibles refers to CBD Edibles, CBD Oil Edibles, or Intoxicating Hemp Edibles. In all cases, Edibles include Gummies, Chocolates, Baked Goods, Infused Drinks, and Chewing Gum.
- Full-spectrum is the only category of CBD Oil Edibles that includes THC. If you have Drug Testing (AKA Drug Screening) at your place of employment your best strategy is to only use Broad-spectrum and/or CBD Isolate. Both of them are THC-free.
- Delta 9 THC is the psychoactive ingredient in Marijuana that gets you high. Marijuana typically has 15% – 25% Delta 9 THC.
- CBD Oil Edibles, including CBD Wellness Edibles, are made from Hemp Oil Extract and have no more than 0.3% naturally occurring THC. That is not even remotely enough to get you high.
- There are also Hemp-based Edibles that have been chemically engineered to have higher percentages of Delta 8 and Delta 9 THC. These Edibles are classified as Intoxicating Hemp.
- groovyhempcompany.com only provides CBD Oil Wellness Edibles. We do NOT provide intoxicating hemp Edibles of any type. More specifically, we do NOT provide Delta 8 or Delta 9 THC Edibles derived from Hemp or any related products.
- High-fat meals will help transport a larger percentage of CBD into the bloodstream. It doesn’t have to be a huge or fancy meal.
- Any High-fat meal from 30-55g makes a significant difference in CBD bioavailability.
- High-fat meals do not affect the bioavailability of Water-soluble CBD products.
Hemp Oil Extract is extracted from hemp flower/bud, containing a natural blend of phytocannabinoids.
Hemp Seed Oil is an oil extracted from hemp seeds (nutritious but contains almost no phytocannabinoids). It includes omega-3 and omega-6 as well as other nutrients that are excellent for skincare and overall health.
Be cautious: some companies use the term Hemp Oil when the product is made from Hemp Seed Oil.
The abbreviation for a Certificate of Analysis is COA (AKA Independent Lab Results). A COA can be conveniently found on the individual product page, in the tab marked Independent Lab Results.
Terpenes are organic compounds responsible for the distinctive fragrances of plant products, from citrus fruits to pine trees to Hemp and Marijuana.
Currently, Hemp provides about twelve terpenes found at concentrations large enough to justify or even consider research. From those twelve terpenes, there are six to eight available in even moderate-sized concentrations.
In Full-spectrum CBD (with THC), the Entourage Effect describes how THC amplifies the therapeutic impact of a combination of a major cannabinoid (e.g., CBD or CBN), minor cannabinoids, Terpenes, and other organic compounds.
In THC-free CBD, the Entourage Effect describes how a specific formulation amplifies the therapeutic impact of a combination of a major cannabinoid (e.g., CBD or CBN), minor cannabinoids, Terpenes, and other organic compounds.
The human body has a widespread cell-signaling network known as the Endocannabinoid System (ECS).

Bioavailability is the percentage or fraction of an administered serving of a CBD Oil product that enters the bloodstream and has an active effect.
Different CBD Oil product formulations can define the approximate level of bioavailability. E.g., Fat-soluble CBD Oil Gummies have the lowest level of CBD bioavailability. Water-soluble CBD Tinctures have the highest.
Eating a high-fat meal when you ingest a Fat-Soluble CBD Gummy or Capsule can increase CBD bioavailability. The amount of fat in that meal will influence the percentage increase in CBD bioavailability.

CBD Oil will not cure or prevent Coronavirus-2019 (AKA COVID-19). Do not believe anyone who says CBD Oil will cure or prevent coronavirus. It is fake science at its worst and an out-and-out con job.
The FDA has sent multiple “cease and desist” letters to various companies making those claims and, in some cases, has taken them to court.
CBD Oil and/or CBG Oil Wellness Products are a combination of phytocannabinoids and terpenes, or phytocannabinoids, terpenes, and herbal supplements formulated to ease a relatively specific group of conditions, issues, or symptoms. Examples include:
- Gummies that are specifically formulated for a night of deep, restful sleep.
- Capsules that are specifically formulated for pain management or headaches.
- Tinctures specifically formulated for improving daily brain function and your energy level
CBD Oil and/or CBG Oil Wellness Products include CBD Oil Benefits products which tend to be more specific.
- Shake the Tincture bottle before using it.
- Before removing the dropper top, squeeze the top to fill the dropper.
- Place the oil under your tongue and hold for 1-2 minutes.
- The longer you hold the oil under your tongue, the more your body will absorb, with greater bioavailability.
- You can also mix CBD Oil tinctures in a beverage.
- Follow the same steps above except dispense the Tincture into your drink, stir, and consume.
- Capsules have a hard outer casing.
- Capsule ingredients can be either dry or liquid.
- A Capsule’s major benefit is that the ingredients are safely contained inside the Capsule so that an exact serving can be created.
- Softgels have a more flexible outer casing, making them easier to swallow.
- Softgel ingredients are liquid.
- Softgels generally have a longer shelf life.
CBD Oil Edibles include Gummies, Chocolates, Chewing Gum, Infused Drink Mixes, and Infused Drinks. CBD Oil Edibles can be either Full-spectrum or THC-free. They are also available as Water-soluble.
CBD Oil Edibles‘ advantages include being easy to use, store, and transport. The only real disadvantage is the low bioavailability of Fat-soluble Edibles.
CBD Oil Topicals are available in the following forms: Lotions, Creams, Balms, Salves, Patches, and Bath Bombs or Fizzies. CBD Oil Topicals can be either Full-spectrum or THC-free. They are also available as Water-soluble.
CBD Oil Topicals can bring soothing relief to muscles aching from a hard workout. They may also help manage joint and muscle soreness and pain. In many cases, some CBD Oil Topicals can help with skin rejuvenation and repair.
The short answer is no. You can make a case for anything applied to your skin as a Topical, but that really isn’t the case. CBD Oil Topicals are primarily formulated to relieve sore, achy muscles and joints. As a side benefit, some CBD Oil Topicals are also formulated for skin rejuvenation, repair, and skin protection.
On the other hand, almost all CBD Infused Skin Care products are formulated specifically for skin care. That includes skin rejuvenation and repair, healing, and moisturizing. CBD Infused Skin Care products generally do not help with sore, achy muscles and joints.
CBD Infused Skin Care products are available in the following forms: Lotions, Creams, Balms, Salves, and Bath Bombs or Fizzies. They can be either Full-spectrum (with THC) or THC-free.
Water-soluble CBD Oil (AKA Nano-emulsion CBD or Nanotechnology CBD) has much better bioavailability than Fat-Soluble CBD Oil products.
That means it is a very fast way to get a much higher percentage of CBD into your bloodstream. It works much faster than Fat-soluble CBD Oil products.
- ACV is the abbreviation for Apple Cider Vinegar.
- A usage example is, “Can ACV go bad?”
- The answer is that unfiltered, unpasteurized Apple Cider Vinegar won’t go bad.
- Can Apple Cider Vinegar Expire? It will expire in 2 to 5 years.
- You do not have to worry about ACV products like Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies expiring any time soon.
CBD Oil is an excellent all-around approach for improved health and well-being. It may help you relax and could improve your sleeping habits. CBN is more specific and is especially good for helping you get deep, restful sleep.
Like all CBD Oil-related products, CBN is not habit-forming and has no reported after-effects.
CBD Concentrates and Extracts are generally provided as fairly viscous Liquids, Powders, or Crumbles. They can be Full-spectrum (with THC) or THC-free.
Your pet has an Endocannabinoid system, so CBD Oil could be beneficial. However, anything you purchase for your dog or cat must be formulated specifically for their anatomy and physiology.
For dogs, this concise guide covers tinctures and chews. For cats, we only cover tinctures. The serving amounts are based on 300mg CBD / per fluid ounce for dogs and 150mg CBD / fluid ounce for cats.

Tinctures for cats.
- For small cats (under 10 lbs), start with 0.5 ml (1 dropper). Administer by mixing with their food.
- You can increase serving size because of need or your pet’s size. Monitor your pet before and after administration to determine optimal serving size.
- It can be taken with food without minimizing the absorption of nutrients.
- Each 1 fl oz (30 ml) container contains 150 mg of CBD (approximately 60 servings).
- A typical serving (1 dropper / 0.5 ml) of Tincture contains 10 mg of CBD.
- For feline use only. Consult with veterinary professionals in case of accidental overdose.
- Discontinue use immediately if new or worsening symptoms occur.
In all cases, store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
