- Salves Part 2. These are used anywhere there is muscle or joint soreness. Salves can be used in heavy concentrations in specific areas because their formulation is thicker. Salves can be Full-spectrum or THC-free and are also referred to as a CBD Ointment.
- Balms and Lotions Part 1. These are thinner formulations and are frequently applied via a roll-on. These formulations frequently include wintergreen or menthol to help the CBD Oil get past the skin so it can help ease muscle and joint soreness

- Balms and Lotions Part 2. Because a balm is a thinner formulation, it can be used on larger body areas than a salve. The strict interpretation of CBD Isolate is CBD Oil without any other phytocannabinoids, including THC. It also has no terpenes or any other organic compounds that might be found in Industrial Hemp, Pharmaceutical, or Food Grade Hemp
If a label says CBD Isolate or Broad-spectrum CBD but you have doubts, read the COA (Independent Lab Results). This document should be available on the vendor’s website.
The lab results will show the percentages of phytocannabinoids present (or not present) in the formulation. More specifically, Delta 8 or Delta 9 THC should be listed as “ND” (for none detected).
